OK, so today here’s a quick tip on how to make money with Google Adsense, without having an approved Adsense account.
There are 2 reasons why you might be interested on this. One is bad, and the other is worse.
- Your Adsense account application has been rejected because the URL you’re submitting isn’t good enough for Google (this can be easily solved).
- You can’t use Adsense anymore because your account has been banned. In which case, make sure you check the top 10 best Adsense alternatives.
Whatever you’re struggling with, Google Adsense is probably the best and more recognized Ad network in the world. Of course, there are great alternatives and some of them might work better for you than it works for others, but in general, having an Adsense account approved feels good in case you need it.
Here at Stream SEO, I’ve been trying CPC and CPM ad networks without any big success. This is probably because I prefer to work with affiliates and CPA commissions instead, and that’s fine for me.
But I have some other blogs that wouldn’t convert with CPA programs and Adsense is probably the best option still. Adsense is especially good for niche or micro niche sites.
Anyway, the thing here is that you don’t have an Adsense account and you still want make money with Adsense banners. Let me show you how.
If your Adsense application has been rejected
There are some ways to solve this without too many problems or hard work at all.
If you already have a website which you’re using with your submission, make sure it follows all the Adsenserules and terms of service. If something was wrong, or the page was about forbidden niches, then you won’t be able to change it all. So it’s better if you start a new website and fill it with some pages of content and submit the form again.
If you don’t want to pay EXTRA money for a domain or anything else to create the blog, you can always useBlogger.
Actually, I recommend using blogger because there you can quickly create a website and craft a few posts to get your Adsense account approved. Blogger/Blogspost is a division of Google’s services, so I’ve found it to be fast and simple. The first time I wanted my Adsense account, I only wrote 3 short posts on a blogger’s blog and it got approved without any problems. Then you can use that account on any website you want as long as it follows their TOS.
You can also use Hubpages. Write a few articles and you should be on the other site. Keep in mind, however, that having your account approved from Blogger is definitely faster.
If your Adsense account has been banned
Now here comes the good part. Once your Adsense account has been banned, it’s difficult to get it back. I’ve heard a lot of horrible stories of people yelling about how they didn’t break any of the rules and still got banned. I won’t discuss that today.
Also, you can create another account with a different email, IP and even name holder, but it’s always risky. I’m not discussing that either.
What I want to tell you, is that you can still earn money from Google Adsense banners using another account. It doesn’t need to be yours, but you need to share it with other users, and that’s where Squidoo comes in.
Squidoo is a great Website created by a team of entrepreneurs and Marketers, including Seth Godin.
The idea behind of Squidoo is to create great Lenses (that’s how they call the posts) and leverage great content so that you can rank it and get payed for it.
There are a lot of sites that work like this, and it’s a no brainer that you need an Adsense account to participate and earn money because generally all those sites work on a shared visibility program that puts their ads on your posts a certain amount of time (and visits) and then it shows your banners another part of the time. Thus, you require an account.
However, with Squidoo, you don’t need an Adsense account to participate. They have a pretty interesting program that allows you (somehow) to use their banners all the time and still earn money from it.
Because all these content directories and farms have been damaged by Google’s latest updates (panda and penguin) because the lack of good content, Squidoo actually has a program where you need to write a good article to rank and get payed.
A good article gets payed based on many factors, including:
- Length and Topic
- SEO
- Comments
- Social activity
- Traffic and more
So, if you create good articles, they’ll get ranked and you’ll receive an amount of their earnings. Here’s how a typical Squidoo post looks like:
They pay by 3 tier commissions, and they have different payments depending on how well your rankings are.Click here to read their full TOS and how it works.
Also, they allow you to make money from other ads including contextual links and Amazon. And with Amazon, you can also use their affiliate account and make 8% of each sale instead of the 4% you usually receive (unless you’re selling a lot already).
So, go ahead and give it a try. I’ve been using Squidoo as a way to build quality backlinks too, and the pages get ranked quickly on Google and usually have a good Page Rank after some months.
Just don’t forget you really need to create good content. Don’t copy or steal content from any other site to put it on Squidoo (or anywhere else, actually). You can only write Squidoo posts in English at this moment (April 2003), but I don’t know if later they’ll be moving to other languages.
Let me know if you know something about it. Talk to you later!
