Το ζήτημα της αποζημίωσης είχε συζητηθεί και με τους εκπροσώπους της τρόικας και μετά από διαπραγμάτευση επιτεύχθηκε το θετικό αποτέλεσμα προς όφελος των κτηνοτρόφων.
Σύμφωνα με το ΥΠΑΑΤ, η πληρωμή αφορά περίπου 70.000 δικαιούχους, κυρίως κτηνοτρόφους ορεινών, μειονεκτικών και νησιωτικών περιοχών και αναμένεται να συμβάλει στην ανακούφισή τους, διευκολύνοντάς τους να προμηθευτούν έγκαιρα ζωοτροφές σε πιο συμφέρουσες τιμές.
Η καταβολή της εξισωτικής αποζημίωσης στους δικαιούχους αφορά το 100% του ποσού που δικαιούνται με βάση τα δικαιολογητικά που έχουν προσκομίσει, εφόσον πληρούν τις προϋποθέσεις επιλεξιμότητας. Αν για κάποιο δικαιούχο υπάρχουν προβλήματα δικαιολογητικών ή προφανή σφάλματα στην αίτησή του, θα δοθεί η δυνατότητα διόρθωσης μέσα στον Αύγουστο και η πληρωμή του θα γίνει στις αρχές Σεπτεμβρίου.
